One thing I’ve learned in my ceramics journey is that there is peace in creating for creativity’s sake. Some of my pottery creations fail, some succeed, some surprise me, but they are not perfect. No failures stopped me from doing it. While I’m learning slowly and steadily, I find the meditative nature of the creation process that I find most appealing.
I’m back in California this week after closing home in Florida and spending the last few days just reading and resting. One thing I know from the past holiday season is that when decorating and holiday activities are done because you enjoy them, and not just for show, the season is much more enjoyable. I have a simple ornament project to share this week and then I will get to a small decorating start in our living room to welcome my daughter home from college.
