This isn’t a bad way as long as you don’t mind the ads in the free version.

Google Santa Claus tracker

Google’s Santa Claus Tracker app is easily one of the best Christmas apps around. It is at least better than any other Santa Tracker app on the Play Store. However, NORAD’s Santa Tracker app (Google Play link) gets better every year. This app includes several fun little games and activities for kids. That includes Google Cardboard VR support, Android Wear support, and a countdown timer. It then follows Santa’s walk around the world on December 24th. This app is completely free with no ads or anything like that. This is also one of the best Christmas apps for kids. The 2020 version isn’t out yet, but we’ll update the article as it becomes available. Until then, we have linked to the official website instead. This website is fully operational for 2020.

The app is also completely free as long as you don’t mind ads. Other music streaming services like Apple Music, Spotify, Google Play Music, Pandora, etc all have Christmas playlists as well. However, iHeartRadio is the easiest to turn on and forget. It’s also the easiest for people who generally haven’t used music streaming services. Just open the app, search for Christmas and find the station you like. Done.

Christmas can be a tough time for your finances. So something like Mint can help. This is a budget app to help keep track of your money. You can buy movies from any of these services, log in to these apps and get them all in one place. You can usually find tons of Christmas movies for sale this time of year, but rarely are they all in one place. This lets you start your Christmas movie collection without too much hassle. Of course, you can always go with Netflix, Hulu and other monthly streaming services as most of them also have Christmas content.

Screenshots of Safe Notes - the best christmas app

Safe Notes is an excellent app for shopping for Christmas gifts. This is a notepad app that is similar to popular names like Google Keep Notes. However, this one lets you hide your notes behind a lock and key. You can set a PIN lock or password so no one can log in and see what you buy. The app UI looks a bit old, but the premise is solid. You can store different colors per note and each note can be up to 250,000 characters long. It’s a super simple notepad app and we only recommend it for its key features so the snoopy kids and significant other can’t find your shopping list. Otherwise, something like Google Drive or Google Keep is absolutely the way to go.

Zedge is probably the best notification and ringtones app on Google Play. It has a lot of tones, sounds, ringtones and other things. Of course, that includes things for Christmas, Thanksgiving, and other holidays. Ringtones and notification tones are usually of fairly high quality. You can find all kinds of stuff here. The app also displays wallpapers if you so desire. Most of the apps are free with ads. There is some premium content that may require in-app purchases to obtain. Live TV apps are quite popular these days and you have several options. PlayStation Vue, YouTube TV, Hulu, Sling TV, and DirecTV Now are the biggest options. This service gives you access to cable television in an app instead of a cable box. This way, you can catch all the annual specials of the shows you watch, and all the Christmas-themed content that comes out every year around this time. Prices vary, but most are good enough to replace your actual cable TV if you don’t mind picking up something like a Chromecast.

Your favorite shopping app

Some of the busiest Christmas apps are shopping apps. Literally, everything will have various sales, special events, special offers and various other offers. Those who shop for others or for themselves can find all kinds of great deals on items they may have seen throughout the year. The 2020 Christmas season is unlike any other Christmas season. The COVID-19 pandemic has kept many places closed and the government has strongly warned against large gatherings for holidays. Because of this, some families may need to visit their loved ones virtually instead of in person. Something like Google Duo should work fine. Google Duo supports video chat with up to 32 people on Android and iOS. There’s a family mode with some fun filters and all that. It’s a great way to see everyone on Christmas without making anyone sick. Many people already have Zoom too, so Zoom is an alternative if you don’t want to use Duo. Skype is the last good option in this space that everyone is familiar with.
