Sunny Seville | Centsational Style

I was looking for flights for a trip I had in mind in May and reminded that last year in May I had the good fortune to travel to the east coast of Spain where my traveling companions and I ended our trip in Seville. After spending four days there it quickly rose to the top of my all-time favorite city in Europe.

We made our trip at the perfect time, when the jacaranda trees were in bloom and the streets were less crowded with tourists than they would be in summer. It also gets hot and a bit humid there so we were lucky to have visited when the weather was warm and sunny during the day but not balmy, and balmy at night allowing more time to explore.

Seville is one of the most charming cities I’ve ever visited, it really has everything that makes this a great city: great architecture, lovely riverside walks, markets, cafes and squares to sit and sip sangria . It offers the best of flamenco and the old town to stroll around and the exquisite Plaza de Espana with its staircase, terraces and lampposts covered with the most beautiful Spanish tiles. I believe I took a hundred pictures of all the wrought iron balconies, doors, and architectural details that caught my eye at every turn in every street.

How about a virtual vacation to the city of Seville? Below are some photos from sunny streets in the south of Spain.

While living in Seville we rented this central apartment in the old town, accessed via a beautiful courtyard and very comfortable, I recommend it if you are visiting!

Who else has been to Seville? What experience do you have?
