DIY: Paintstroke Ornaments | Centsational Style

I created this pink and gold paintbrushed ornament one afternoon when I was in Florida to complete the sunset palette I used to decorate my living room. They were made with clear ornaments purchased from Michaels.

You can use plastic ornaments or clear glass to achieve a similar look in your chosen palette. I chose to use glass paint instead of regular acrylic paint to make the layer more translucent.

It’s as simple as it gets, just add random strokes with the brush one color at a time and let it dry between layers.

You can dry it upside down on anything that will allow it to sit upright, I used two styrofoam strips from the package it came with.

I also painted the top of mine gold to complete the gold paint wash.

They looked so pretty that I hung them from some fallen branches lit by twinkling lights.

Recreate it in any color you choose!
