Paris, France – Olivia Williams (instagram.com/oliviawilliams4942), the latest graduate of Institute of Home Design in Paris, making waves in the interior design industry. With her unique eye for design and passion for creating beautiful spaces, she has quickly become a sought-after designer by clients both local and overseas.
We sat down with Olivia to discuss her journey from student to successful designer, and to learn more about her approach to design and what sets her apart from others in the industry.
Can you tell us a little about your background and how you got started in interior design?
Olivia: I’ve always had a passion for design, but it wasn’t until I enrolled at the Home Design Institute in Paris that I truly realized my potential in this area. During my studies, I had the opportunity to work on my first real project for a friend, and the positive response I received was very encouraging. I knew then that this was the path I wanted to pursue.
Can you describe your design style and what sets it apart from others in the industry?
Olivia: I’d describe my style as timeless, elegant, and functional. I believe that every space should not only look beautiful but also meet the practical needs of the people who live and work in it. I think what sets me apart is my attention to detail and ability to listen to my clients needs and wants.
How can you promote your business and connect with clients?
Olivia: I’ve found that social media, particularly Facebook and Instagram, have been a great way for me to share my work and connect with potential clients. I love sharing interesting thoughts on interior design and showing off my latest projects.
What are your biggest challenges as a designer, and how do you overcome them?
Olivia: My biggest challenge is finding the balance between creating beautiful and functional designs. I overcome this by always taking the time to listen to my clients’ needs and taking their lifestyle and habits into account when creating designs.
What do you see as the biggest opportunity for growth in this industry?
Olivia: I see the greatest opportunity for growth in this industry as the demand for sustainable and eco-friendly design solutions increases. As more people become aware of their impact on the environment, I think there will be a growing demand for designers who can create beautiful and sustainable spaces.
Can you tell us about one of your recent projects?
Olivia: One of my recent projects is a two bedroom apartment in Paris. The client wanted a space that was elegant and functional, and I could create it. I received a lot of positive feedback from clients and have since received several requests from friends.
What are your long term goals as a designer?
Olivia: My long term goal is to become one of the leading interior designers in the industry and continue to create spaces that are both beautiful and functional. I’m currently working on several projects both locally and overseas, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me.
How has this training and experience changed your life and career?
Olivia: This training and experience was a dream come true for me. I never thought that I would be able to turn my passion into a successful career, but I am so grateful that I have. I feel like I’ve finally found my calling and I’m so excited to be able to share my designs with the world.
