This software brings a number of new features.
The first is Apple Music Sing. For Apple Music users, it turns your iPhone, iPad and Apple TV 4K into a karaoke machine.
You can sing along with your favorite hits. Millions of songs are available for use with the feature.
With adjustable vocals, you can sing with the artist as a lead. On the screen, you can see animated lyrics dancing to the rhythm of the vocals.
Vocals sung simultaneously can be animated independently of the main vocals for easier followability.
And the Duet view will display multiple vocalists on opposite sides of the screen to make it easier when enjoying a duet or multi-singer song.
You can find a series of 50 special playlists to enjoy this feature.
Announced last week, users can also enable optional Advanced Data Protection for iCloud. It will apply end-to-end encryption for additional iCloud categories including iCloud Backup, Notes, and Photos.
Two other security features, iMessage Contact Key Verification, Security Key for Apple ID, will arrive sometime in 2023.
The new software also brings Freeform apps to iPhone and iPad.
A digital whiteboard application, allows users to collaborate with others without worrying about page layout and size. Instead, it provides a real-time collaboration space.
It works best on an iPad with an Apple Pencil.
There’s also a new option for the always-on screens of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. You can choose to hide the wallpaper and notifications. The result is an all-black screen.
Apple has also added a new Medication widget to quickly see that information.
You can also now enjoy Live Activity on the Apple TV app to see live scores on your Lock Screen or iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max Dynamic Island.
The Home app now offers greater reliability and communication between smart home devices and accessories.
